The Sum of All Parts (Intro)

Thousands of years ago, a child discovered the first portal to another world. It was a beautiful time in history, full of enlightenment and knowledge. It seemed that the human race was destined for incredible things. They embraced the magic of the other worlds they found and lived in harmony with the other beings they met.

But as time progressed, a greedy few became disillusioned with the idea of peace and unity.

They wanted power and control.

Realizing that the easiest way to control people is through their fears, they devised a plan to turn neighbor against neighbor and father against son. The beings that lived along The Portal Path were slandered and The Good People of Earth began to fear them. The portals to the other worlds were seized and closed.

The human race was plunged into dark times at the hands of their very own people.

Wars devoured lives and countryside in the thousands of years that followed.

In a self-proclaimed effort to repair massive damage done to the Earth and its people, The United World was formed after the last Great War. Barron expansions were left across Earth and eventually people were moved into walled cities for protection.

All was not as it seemed, however.

Darkness lurked in the hearts and minds of the leaders of The United World, descendants of the greedy few who once nearly wiped out an entire race of civilized people in an effort to live as kings. A group of the wealthiest and cruelest, known to their opposition as The Zealots, used fear and intimidation to retain their power over the citizens and the resources of Earth.

It was a child who discovered the first of the portals along the Portal Path and, according to the prophecy, a child will unite them to overturn The Zealots and restore peace to the Earth.

Children are pure of heart and live with their minds open until they are taught to close them. Fortunately, for the human race, there are a few encouraged to never close their minds to all the love and beauty that abounds.

As it has always been, we look to these children to lead us into tomorrow. ……..
